Description
Owner lets shrubs grow nearly 2 feet over sidewalk. Contractors repairing sidewalk poured new sidewalk 2 feet narrower rather than push back shrubs. 1) absentee landlord should trim shrubs and 2) contractor should return sidewalk to original width.

    Case Resolved | Dear Constituent, The Boston Public Works Construction Inspection Unit (CIU) Inspector went to the location and agrees that the contractor should have extended the concrete repair to match the end line We have contacted the contractor who will have to go back out and to coordinate that the bushes are trimmed so they can redo the sidewalk properly. We are giving the contractor 30 days to complete the work. The CIU inspector will monitor the progress of the repair.
