- With all the work underway to replace and fix up the Massachusetts Avenue bridge over Commonwealth Avenue, would not now be a wonderful time to prune / clean up all the trees? I hope it is already in the scope of work / plans, but if not it would really improve the area. Thank you very much.

Case Noted | Some of the trees in question that needed to be pruned were pruned prior to construction. Also, the contractor is caring for the trees during construction and a consulting arborist hired by the Friends Group is monitoring and treating the trees as necessary. If after the project the Parks Department deems that the trees need to be pruned then they will be added to the backlog pruning list.
