Case Noted | The City of Boston is under a federal mandate to upgrade the pedestrian ramps in this area. New pedestrian ramps cannot be constructed in one day. The excavation, the resetting of the edgestone and even the pouring on concrete take time. Even after the concrete is poured, you will still not be able to walk on them for a day. If there is an issue getting a wheelchair out of the house, the contractor will do everything in it's power to make the house accessible. This is a minor inconvenience for the upgrades that are need and when it is complete, you will have a brand new sidewalk.
