- sidewalk at 62 mapleton st brighton was dug up to do gas work and not properly repaired, there is a one inch depression causing a trip hazard. Feeney brothers did the gas work. I was assured in September it would be repaired within 60 days, it has not been repaired and the 60 days are up.

Case Resolved | Dear Constituent, The Boston Public Works Construction Inspection Unit (CIU) requires utility companies to restore the sidewalks to original condition within 60 days of their work unless otherwise authorized The CIU inspector signed off on the job August 26rth Meaning the sidewalks need to be restored by October 26th We just emailed Feeney of this obligation We apologize if we told you the sidewalks would be restored by August.. It must have been a slip on my part We have reached out to Feeney and requested either they make the asphalt patch smooth and lvel or restore the concrete The location has been entered into the CIU data base that tracks asphalt sidewalk needing permanent repairs to be made by utility companies or private contractors.
