- Amazing! We've been trying to get a 4 way stop sign for 20 years. That didn't happen but we've got 7 signs put up for emergency vehicles. Great way to spend our tax dollars. There were 5 children playing out here 20 minutes before this fell. The city worker that put these in complained that "I've never put 7 signs up in 1 day" what a joke. This is great work done by the city. Not only did they put these signs directly in front of our house. Which I need to add my mother owns and has lived at for >50 year's. This is absolutely absurd

Case Resolved | Stop signs are installed for right of way access and are not installed for speed control. At this intersection, Northdale Rd. has the right of way. Signs were installed on the corners to give better sight lines and to allow for emergency vehicle access. As an fyi, the "No Stopping" signs would still have been installed even if a 4 way stop was warranted. Once BTD is alerted that there is an issue regarding safety, Engineering has to investigate and determine what will make the intersection safer. In this case it was adding the signs as vehicles were parking too close to the corners and causing visibility problems for vehicles and pedestrians.
