- Description
- At this intersection there used to be huge mature trees along the streets on 5 adjacent properties on both Remington and Nixon. Three were still there when my family moved here in 2014. At least two others had been removed in the 5-10 years prior. This intersection is along the route between the Shawmut T Station and Dorchester Ave. and there’s a daycare and three school within a couple blocks, so there’s a decent amount of pedestrians. It is so hot in the summer with almost no shade. One side of Nixon Street has overhead lines, but otherwise both Nixon and Remington can accommodate large trees. | Reside at this location: [Yes] Explaint: [My address is 4 Remington St] Owner of the property: [Yes] Sidewalk tree or a private lawn plantings: [Sidewalk tree] Multiple street trees: [Yes]
