- Description
- Dear Boston Tree Wardens: There is a tree in front of the South End public housing building where I live at 80 W. Dedham St in the South End that appears to be in desperate need of your attention. I am referring to the Goldenrain Tree, Site ID 2402 according your website. I believe the main thing that is causing the tree obvious difficulty in growing is the fact that there are about 7 comparatively more healthy looking "tree sucker" branches growing carcerously, close to the ground, out of the base of tree's trunk. I have been long tempted to perform some surgery on the abnormal growths myself. But I don't want to cause trouble, and hope you will be able do something about it. This tree also appears to need to have something done about the fact that the dirt around it is so compacted that I doubt that its roots gets more than a small fraction of the hydration it needs and deserves. Thank you for all you do for the city's supply of healthy trees and other plant life. Please let me know if there is anything I can do. Yours Truly, Daniel O.
