Description: off leash dogs at First Street Park in South Boston. This a chronic problem, but today December 7, around 1230, I was walking home and I saw ahead of me a group of dog owners blocking the sidewalk surrounded by their off leash dogs. One dog ran at me barking. It stopped a few feet from me and continued barking at me. It was large dog. The owner was not coming to my aid. She was calling the dog and scolding him. I was stuck, unable to move forward due to the dog. I had to ask her to use her leash. She came up to the dog and he ran away from her. She had no control. I continued walking but had to avoid the other owners and dogs who were blocking the sidewalk. As it happens, this morning when I left for my walk, I was crossing Summer Street bridge and two pitbulls ran towards me and past me, followed by their owner. This is rude, antagonizing, scary, and it ruins my day to realize I have neighbors who do not care about my feelings or experiences.
