The red light stays on very long, causing tremenous long back up traffic and blocking the previous intersection by the gas stations. The timing needs to be adjusted allowing shorter red light wait heading towards Commonwealth Avenue and Storrow Drive. The green light stays on too long from the other angle/street, ramp leaving from Storrow Drive heading towards the Back Bay Fens onto Boylston Street. If it is a legit pedestrian crossing both lights at Milton and Granite Ave should be red at the same time. Children going and coming from St. Brendan's are crossing at this intersection daily and it has become hazardous. There are multiply crosswalks across from Franklin Park Zoo. Drivers do not obey the law when making turns and when pedestrian have the walk signal. I am afraid to cross certain sections of blue hill ave with my two children because I do not know when someone will make a right turn when they are not supposed to when the light is red. Can extra signs be placed such as the State Law signs for pedestrians on the crosswalk. Drivers need to be more aware when driving on Blue Hill Avenue especially during school hours.
