Constituent called and reported that there is a loose manhole cover withing 20-30 ft. of this intersection. He says that every time someone drives over it it's making a loud clanging sound. He said that it's located on the left hand side of the street as you are driving down Park Plaza headed twords the intersection of Columbus ave. |

In reference to case number 101001806666, constituent is looking for updates on this case, previous case 1811044 was closed stating there is a pending work for contractor to replace frame and cover. He is requesting the time frame to fix the manhole. | Type of request: [Street]

Cosntituent reported in case # 1806666, "I live at 1 Charles Street South. A manhole cover located at the intersection of Park Plaza and 1 Charles Street South ( in front of PF Changs in the Transportation Building) is very loose and makes a loud "clanking" noise every time a vehicle rides over it. This is quite disturbing 24/7. Perhaps either a filler between cover and rim or bolting it would take care of the problem. The noise is very loud and also maybe a safety issue since the cover jumps up when driven over it." There was also a second case # 1809609 that was closed saying cover was secured but it was not the correct cover. manhole rattles and pops up whenever it is driven over. Originally reported as 101002416774. Caller is concerned because some one came out and marked a manhole cover down the street with spray paint but that was not the manhole he was reporting. |
