Mattress outside our building, not sure where it came from. It has been there since Monday. If it is there this weekend it will be surrounding by other trash for sure.

Hi, there My name is Jinchen Zhang, I am an international student from Northeastern University. I am living in Backbay area as a tenant. On October 21, my apartment was get into water damage, caused the pipe broken in the wall (I am not sure about that). I contacted with my property manager immediately when I fund this issue, they help me to pull the water out quickly. The problem is after the manager helped me pull the water out, he did nothing to help me fix this issue. One of a wall in my bedroom is broken with a big hole, some of my valuable belongings, furniture, and mattress are broken are the manager said they can’t cover it. Since October 21 until now, nobody came to my apartment and fix the wall and other problems out, property manager just ask my roommates (female) and me live in living room. (the structure of my apartment is like a loft, and 2 bedrooms located in garden level ). I feel really tough to living just in living room with my roommates, because the whole apartment has musty smell. And the manager put 3 big fans into bedrooms to try the room out, they were so noisy when I trying to sleep. I also requested for an alternative shelter, like hotel or somewhere, but the manager refused either. As an international student, I don’t know where I can report, and get some help, I called 911 and they suggested me to contact with the mayor hotline. Also, I will have to attend to an academic conference in San Diego from Otc.28 to Nov.5, I do really want an inspection and other help before I go there. the caller lives in a Mahoney Properties managed building. His apartment is suppossed to be fumigated. two weeks ago they were told they would be relocated while the apt. was renovated and fumigated. Mahoney properties said ther were no bed bugs in the apartment. When the movers arrived they said there were bed bugs on the furniture so the furniture is in the truck being treated.
