I’m a resident at 275 Medford St. in Charlestown and live above a convenience store and coffee shop as well as directly across from Charlestown high school. I was looking online to request a PUBLIC trash can be installed on the section of Shawmut Ave between Herald St and Paul Place. There is often trash left on this block with the new installation of Blue Bikes on this corner. This is specific to this side of the street as it is more a public area than facing a residential building with maintenance services. This is also a section of Shawmut where there are no trash cans. The nearest are on Washington, Tremont, or across Berkeley near the park. This corner also serves as a drop-off point to the Tufts employee garage and the gateway between Chinatown/Southend residential areas.
