My vehicle’s windshield was smashed last night in what could’ve been an attempted robbery. Nothing was stolen, but the window needs to be replaced. Happened on the corner of Mt Ida Road and Homes Ave in Dorchester | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Crime] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA C-11]

Traffic congestion that can be remedied if timing of traffic lights are corrected. There is currently construction around the corner of West Roxbury Pkwy and Belgrade Ave. However, even when construction has wrapped up for the day, this area is still backed up because the traffic lights are not synced up correctly. For example, there will be a green light at the corner of West Roxbury Pkwy and Anawan Ave but one short block after this light, on the corner of West Roxbury Pkwy and Belgrade Ave, there will be a red light- which doesn’t help congestion. The congestion backs up most of that section of West Roxbury Pkwy but the streets that intersect West Roxbury Pkwy are not backed up at all. So maybe change the timing of the lights to allow for a longer green at both of these intersections or at least make sure since these intersections are so close to each other, make sure the lights are synced together. Traffic immediately gets better after you pass these 2 sections. I’ve been hitting traffic ONLY at this area on my commute to work in the Longwood area between the hours of 5:50pm-6:15pm. Illegal mechanic still working on cars..city does nothing. Guess we’ll wait till something explodes.
