I live at 10 Rocky Nook Terrace, but I am reporting an abandoned building at the end of our street, on a lot in the rear of 18 Robeson. The building is an abandoned barn that has fallen into massive disrepair, so much so that over the last several years the roof itself has had to be covered by a blue tarp, which is now tearing, falling off, and flying shards into the wind. It is tilting to one side, and parts of the building walls are crumbling, opening up, etc.. The wood is rotting. It is currently home to racoons and other animals (I surely will not go in there to catalog) and recently a rabid racoon was identified coming out of the building dragging itself around our street until it died. There are children on the street, and we have been advised by animal control to notify all the neighbors to report any contact that might have been made. This is a building that has been unused and in disrepair, and it has been so for at least the last 10 years. It seems to me that it is an accident waiting to happen, and at that time the the results could be catastrophic. Why wait? I would request that the building be torn down please, as it is a clear and present danger to the community. Thank you. |

Constituent states there is also a strong odor coming from the house and several cats are come in and out of there frequently. Constituent states the board of health was called but never showed up to the house.]
