Really disappointed in how Mayor Wu and the City Council are running Boston. The traffic is worse than it’s ever been, city dirtier than I've ever seen it, people park wherever they want with zero consequences (impacting everyone else around them) and the 24/7 construction is disruptive. It honestly feels like city leadership doesn’t care about residents at all. The way we’re spoken to by city officials is rude, dismissive, and not how I’d expect elected representatives to act. Do better. | Case (SR) Type: [Miscellaneous] Referred To: [MAYOR'S POLICY OFFICE]

Franklin Square park has an entrance as St George St and E Brookline St that is completely iced over and inaccessible. The ice extends from the entrance to the surrounding sidewalks. |

    CLOSED #101005915594

Case Noted. Thank you for reaching out regarding Franklin Square. During snow events we prioritize perimeter sidewalks at our 331 properties citywide. Most interior pathways are intended for seasonal use during our permitting season from April to November. Some park interiors, particularly those with central locations and a high volume of pedestrian traffic, may be cleared when and where possible after abutting sidewalks have been cleared. Additionally, we do not typically apply salt to the interior of parks as it can damage the adjacent turf or planting beds.

New bike lane reduces the traffic from 3 down 2 lanes! Nobody using the bike lane and causing extreme traffic

    CLOSED #101005901021

Case Resolved. While all streets with bike lanes and many without them receive heavy bicyclist traffic, the common misconception that bike lanes are unused is believed by many Bostonians. This is mostly due to the fact that bikes take up so much less space than cars and move so much faster on city streets, due to their small size preventing and bypassing roadway congestion.

The sidewalks around the Saunders building on Park Place are often closed for the threat of protests. When you do this, you block handicap access to the sidewalk at least 2 places. This means that people in a wheelchair have to be wheeled in the street which is absolutely not safe. | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Quality of Life] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA A-1]
