Damaged Sign
Intersection Of West Roxbury Pkwy And Clement Ave, West Roxbury, MaThere Needs to be a SLOW CHILDREN sign here on Clement/W Roxbury Parkway between Pelton and Anawan. There is NO sidewalk and cars speed here during AM commute while we and other parents now walk their small children to school on a narrow road. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or worse - this is not safe esp now that there are children everywhere
CLOSED #101006352427Case Noted. Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. Unfortunately, BTD has discontinued installing SLOW signs due to the are not effective. However good news, both Clement Ave and West Roxbury Pkwy are slated to receive speed humps in the next few years based on our criteria. We evaluated each area for its safety history, demographics (higher numbers of children, older adults, and people with a disability), if there are parks, schools, community centers nearby, plans for repaving and ramp construction, and needs otherwise identified by the residents of the neighborhood. We are glad that we are able to bring this important safety intervention to your area. Thank you for contacting 311 and BTD.
