At the intersection of Washington Street and Winter Street, the official Winter Street street sign has been removed and replaced by a memorial plaque for Officer Holmes. There is currently no visible street name identifying Winter Street. Please reinstall the proper ‘Winter Street’ sign for navigation and emergency response compliance. Winter Street is one of the busiest pedestrian cut-throughs in Boston. Removing the sign creates potential issues for any visitor, delivery driver, or even emergency crew relying on visual confirmation.
