Park Maintenance Requests
Greenway signs tell frail elders that bikes, skateboards, scooters, etc aren't allowed so they don't watch out for all the bikers etc who ignore the signs. Dangerous. Many close calls. Please enforce rules (or remove signs). | SR Type: [Signage] SR Area: [Trades]

Park Maintenance Requests
I sent a request last week to have this area mowed along with the gras from denny street leading up to Bayside. They did the latter, but neglected to mow from Bayside Street down to the beach boardwalk. Not sure if they are planning to come back, but the rest still needs to be mowed. | SR Type: [Cutting] SR Area: [Ground Maintenance]

Park Maintenance Requests
I am a resident of the North End and have resided in the area for about five years. I noticed over the past few years that there are more homeless people sleeping (taking shelter) along the Harborwalk, in the softball fields along the Harborwalk, in Christopher Columbus Park, and loitering around businesses along North End's Waterfront. The city of Boston and the Boston Police Department need to do a better job moving them into shelters or away from residential areas as they pose safety concerns to residents. | SR Type: [Inspection] SR Area: [Design & Construction]

There is a live power line hanging over the play structure in the Curley k-8 schoolyard. Vines are visibly weighing the power line down and it is less than 10 feet over a metal play structure. This dangerous situation needs to be addresses, especially with school starting next week. | SR Area: [Horticulture]

Park Maintenance Requests
I went to Shipyard Park wading pool this morning with my 3 girls and was concerned when I found that several of the grates that cover the inlets in the bottom of the pools and at the top under the spouts were loose, broken, or not bolted down. This could definitely cause injuring or potential trap a child's leg underwater. I could find no agency or web info to inform those who might oversee the park. This information should be posted so that if a serious problem is spotted, it can be reported right away. | SR Area: [Trades]

Park Maintenance Requests
To Whom It May Concern: I am concerned about the use of Carter Palyground in the South End of Boston. I live in D7 and use Franklin Park, which needs tending to, so I'm informing you. It appears that Northeastern University has taken over this public space. It completely surrounds the once black neigborhood and has usurped almost all use of this park. My concern is that the City may still be maintaining it from the Parks and Recreation budget, which may be unfair. If NEU is using it as part of its athletic activities for students then it should maintain it. As you know, during these hard economic times, the City budget may be strained, thus, other parks, whose maintenance comes from the City budget may be getting short changed. Franklin Park is one of these parks. There are very dangerous dead trees that pose a real threat to users because the budget may not stretch far enough to cut them down. NEU could maintain Carter Playground and save the City some money that can be used to maintain parks that City residents use. Please check to msee if the City or NEU maintains the Carter Playground, and act on this if possible. Thanks, Jose A. Alicea | SR Area: [Ground Maintenance]
