The tree outside my house should come down - it’s dying, shooting up suckers that are cut back and leave sharp edges. We have small children in neighborhood that could get seriously hurt if they fall off their bikes, scooters, skateboards. Other trees in my neighborhood have been marked to come down. Save city tax dollars and replace this dying nuisance. I have planted 2 new trees in my backyard so I am not anti-tree

All new trees are inspected every summer during the warranty period by a BPRD staff arborist to make sure they are alive and healthy. If they are found to be dead, they will be placed on the warranty replacement list for the contractor to replace in the next planting season.

Parks Suggestion Received - The tree in question like many maples this season is experiencing drought stress and as a result heavy leaf scorch. while there is some minor deadwood in the tree there appears to be new leafs pushing out in the upper canopy. No visible trunk defects. Tree will be monitored for health going forward. at this point the tree will not be removed.
