Roadway Flooding
11 Ormond St, Mattapan, Ma, 02126Hello 311, on Thursday, Aug 14, there heavy rain in the area. Causing this huge hole in my front yard. This happened 1 year ago at 5 feet from this new hole. It was reported to 311 and was fixed. Whereas this keeps happening when there is heavy rain. There has to be a more serious problem in the area underneath the sidewalk with water run-off. This needs to be surveyed further to see why this keeps happening. I have left the hole open, so someone from your office can visit and inspect this issue. PLEASE HELP RESOLVE THIS ISSUE!!! Roadway Flooding
19 Oakton Ave, Dorchester, Ma, 02122Street floods I live at 23 Radford Ln, near the corner of Bushnell and Radford Ln. With any heavy rain, the two storm drains on our street are quickly overwhelmed and the street floods -- including adjacent yards. We always keep the drains clean, including while the flooding is happening, but the water coming from up the hill (Carruth street and beyond) is too much for the drains. We would like someone to evaluate; they have been cleaned before in response to our concerns, but it seems more than that is needed. Often cars (8-10 spots) parked in this part of the street get flooded (underwater past doors an into the interior), and it's an especially problematic part of Dorchester for that as residents from outside our street park on it to commute on the T, and they usually therefore aren't available to move their cars when the rain starts.
