Please forward this message to the correct department/person to handle. I have reason to believe that the new business located at this address have illegally installed signage. I have had signs done before in the City of Boston and the process is very long and the BRA will not allow three large signs repeating one business' name. It is unfair to us, honest business owners, who had to go through the tedious process of getting BRA approval and also patiently waiting for the building department to issue a permit while another dishonest business owner can come along into the neighborhood and install an illegal sign and not have any sort of punishment. There should be no reason as to why this business was allowed to install three oversize signs with their business named written three times. When the signs had gone up, there was no posting of the building permit, which is a requirement by the city. Who ever that is handling the signage processions should be reevaluated for their ability to handle the city's work. If this person is supposedly over-crowded with work, it is suggested that his/her responsibilities should be divided among his/her colleagues. I hope you do look into the issue to make a fair judgement and decision. There should be no reason for such open illegal activity in our city.
