What is the nature of the problem: [Constituent states that this property is abandoned and has been for quite some time. States the windows were once boarded up but have since been removed leading him to believe that squatters could be on the premises. States that there is trash all outside. Very frusturated about the lack of attention to this property and requests call or email back.]

(Concerns came from Josh, ONS from the community) We are concerned about the possibility of fire - the house is connected to the grid and with no interior walls and with the Southwest corner of the house exposed to the elements it could be a fire hazard. We are also concerned about rats and other animals using the house as a safe haven and causing problems for neighbors as they multiply. Kids might gain access to the house and start a fire or injure themselves. I think it would give us peace of mind if an inspector could come out and look around the property. |

The property is being completely renovated but it’s been going on for a year. The contractor leaves trash out in the yard. The property is not properly secured, anyone can just walk in. Multiple people have came into the property to urinate in the yard. People have come in and used drugs in the portapotty. It is a matter of time before someone overdoses in there. Sometimes people spend the night inside the house. The weeds in the yard is overgrown, allowing rodents to populate easily. The whole place is a health hazard and I reported to 311 but no one got back to me or issued a citation. |

What is the nature of the problem: [The constituent wanted to notify us about a building that has an open garage since febuary, and has overgrown grass.]

Owners have abandoned this property for at least 4 years. My dog was attacked by a rat a couple months ago on this property. There is no upkeep. There are raccoons living in the chimney. They are a disgrace. There are about to be two babies living next to this house and it is not safe. I have pictures to submit as well. Since it is abandoned there is no way for us to contact the owners. There are paint cans on the porch, wires uncovered and wires on the ground. Overflowing trash and recycling and overgrown weeds. |
