What is the nature of the problem: [Constituent reports home at service location is in poor condition and has been abandoned for at least 15 years: there is a vehicle leaking fluid- BFD has been notified but the issue continues, constituent lives nearby and states there has been an increase in rodent activity, the grass is overgrown and unkempt in both the front and back of the property and there is homeless people believed to be coming in and out of the property, and the constituent is unsure of how they are getting in. The constituent also states they have called numerous times regarding the issue and code violations have been issued, but would like to know what are the next steps. Requesting assistance with this matter.]

What is the nature of the problem: [Constituent states taht the building at this location is abandoned and has been causing issues for the neighborhood. States that the yard is overgrown which is causing issues with rats in the area and the house itself appears to be delapidaded and a possible fire hazard.]

Const. states house has been empty for a while now. Const. states here's overgrown weeds and trash left behind, and it's attractng rats and disturbing the neighbors. Const. equests a call back from ISD about the issue.

What is the nature of the problem: [There is an abandoned building that was burnt on fire and the first floor rear window is infested with flies. Please inspect ASAP. This is disgusting.]

What is the nature of the problem: [Const reported that there is an abandoned building by the mentioned location. Const stated that the attracts a lot of rodents in the area. Const stated that the house had a fire last year and has been abandoned ever since. Const is requesting that the city does something about this building.]

The owner of this home passed away in 11/2020. The sister of the deceased signed over ownership of the home to the mortgage company in 1/2021. The house has been empty since that date. This is a significant concern to our neighborhood. Our neighborhood was shocked by a drug raid on the home next to the abandoned home ~1 month ago w/ swarms of police w/ guns drawn at 7 in the morning. The police did a great job, but this was terrifying for us all! This home has been another concern since it was essentially converted to a "rooming house". Since the raid, I have noticed unknown persons "checking out" the outside of the abandoned house and looking through the window. There is a maintenance company to cut the lawn, but otherwise this home is a perfect for squatters! Both of these homes are right across the street from where I have lived my whole life. We have a beautiful, diverse, family-centered neighborhood, other than these 2 houses. As a life-long Bostonian, I beg for assistance in resolving this concerning situation. In addition, there are families interested in buying the abandoned home, but apparently due to paperwork processing issues, the house has just been left empty, at risk for deterioration and squatters and not listed for sale.
