General Traffic Engineering Request
Intersection Of Adams St And Parkman St, DorchesterConstituent states there are speed bumps planning to be installed (there is signage at both ends of the street by the intersections) and a relative expressed they had difficulty going over speed bumps due to weather and they are concerned with parking along the street following the speed bumps installation. The constituent also states the street is narrow, some are very close to driveways and there is bad traffic as is with school buses often coming down the street along with other vehicles. The constituent is requesting assistance with this matter. |
CLOSED · #101006455934Case Resolved. Speed humps are designed to not interfere with parking, and will not cause issues for vehicles driving under 25 miles per hour. The narrowness of the street is part of the reason why speed control infrastructure would have such a positive impact on safety along it.
