We evaluated each area for its safety history, demographics (higher numbers of children, older adults, and people with a disability), if there are parks, schools, community centers nearby, plans for repaving and ramp construction, and needs otherwise identified by the residents of the neighborhood. Case Noted. Please be more specific, is there a section of Bartlett Street or the whole street? Removing parking on one side of the street the whole length would need a community process if it's just a portion, BTD can investigate and add parking restrictions without a community process if only a couple of parking spots are lost. We have reviewed the signal timing at both Gordon & River and River & Hyde Park, and found that the timing at both intersections is operating correctly. We understand the ongoing traffic congestion along River Street and are currently making timing adjustments. In addition, we are coordinating with DCR to ensure their traffic signal is functioning properly.
