General Traffic Engineering Request
Intersection Of Sachem St And Calumet St, Mission Hill, MaSince Calumet Street was repaved it is now a raceway. We have NO 25 MPH signs and cars go 40-50 mph all day long. The center of the street is NOT marked by a white line. We have no speed bumps, all we have is speeding cars. From St. Alphonsus to Wait Street 25 MPH signs are needed. ALSO at the corner of Calumet and Sachem Streets there should be NO PARKING on the left side of Sachem for at least 40 feet going up to Hillside Street. Fire trucks cannot turn because of parked cars at the corner. If the left side was NO PARKING, the street could be easily utilized by EMERGENCY vehicles. The 40 feet would make a safety difference. Thanks for your time. |
CLOSED · #101006297749Case Noted. The default speed li it in the City of Boston is 25 mph unless posted otherwise. Speed limit signs will not be posted. Please contact BPD f vehicles are driving excessively. BTD will investigate the location as corner restrictions were added to allow for emergency vehicle access. Thank you for contacting 311 and BTD.
