Intersection Of Park Plz And Arlington St And Saint James Ave, Boston, MaThere are 2 BPD officers on traffic duty and I watched two cars run the red light as I was waiting to cross and the officers did nothing. They were too busy talking to each other and not enforcing traffic laws. Why are they even there then? | Case (SR) Type: [BPD: Administrative Issues] Referred To: [POLICE: AREA A-1]

2 Center Plz, Boston, Ma, 02108All these cops making overtime with 4 hour minimum while they are at court. Plenty of public garages- or the MBTA nearby- that the tax paying public has to use, and there is even a police station with a garage nearby, yet many police park illegally in tow zones without consequence. Corruption starts small.

1 City Hall Plz, Boston, Ma, 02108Constituent states via Contact Form on 8/10: Hello, I live in the neighborhood (on Portland Street) and was walking to work this afternoon. I am always happy to see gatherings around City Hall, day and night. We bring the children regularly. Boston holds these things to build community. But today (Saturday August 10) the event was simply too loud for persons who actually live near City Hall. It was painful to walk by. My wife would never have let me bring my children to this event. For example, it was too loud for the children at the City Hall park. Please reduce the amplification of sound in the future, so that more people can enjoy your events. Please keep in mind the community aspect, first foremost. Our focus as Bostonians is not primarily on the people on the stage, although we thank them for their work, it is the community gathering to watch them. The people on the stage might like it loud, but that doesn't matter to us, because we are thinking about the children and the well-being of the community. Health experts should tell us what the proper amplification is: Yes or no? We should follow their advice, right? Thank you very much, and sorry for the long Email. I just want to make sure we are all on the same page about how public events are conducted. Yours truly, Montgomery Link | Case (SR) Type: [Arts and Culture] Referred To: [ARTS AND CULTURE]

100 City Hall Plz, Ste C, Boston, Ma, 02108Near JFK Umass, there is a road that leads from Columbia Rd into the 93 north(42°19'17.7"N 71°03'11.5"W). There is also a crosswalk there, a pedestrian sign however, there are no lines, and cars come at full speed trying to merge into the highway. This path is the only way for a pedestrian to access Moakley Park and Carson Beach, but cars very rarely stop or if they do other cars come from the other lane. This crosswalk is very dangerous to cross, especially at night. I hope that more signs or a traffic light can be put in place so that it enforces the safety of all involved. | Case (SR) Type: [Mass DOT] Referred To: [Mass DOT]

1 City Hall Plz, Boston, Ma, 02108Constituent states via Contact Form on 7/7: Hi All, I’ve never wrote a letter to the city in my life but I felt like I had to on this one. In the park by city hall across from Boston Market in the north end, there is a water table that’s super cool and has a bunch of steel structures that let you pump water. At the very bottom there is a steel windmill that accelerates by water falling into it. I took a video that will show you that this thing was spinning at over 50 mph. I really think when you see the video you are going to send someone out to remove this little item right away. If any child were to touch it would definitely break their hand and if a small child were to crawl into it they could get really severely hurt. It doesn’t spin that fast all the time, but today I saw it happen 10 or so different times in a 30 minute period. Please leave me a voicemail if you call, so I know it’s you. Thanks again, Joel | Case (SR) Type: [Miscellaneous] Referred To: [PROPERTY MANAGEMENT]
CLOSED #101005612856Per Property Management: Thank you for your attention to these details of our City and for caring about the safety of our City's smallest residents! Our team has examined this and we are not sure why you observed such fast speeds on that windmill. I think potentially it had to do with the large amount of rain we received, as it does not normally spin that quickly in my experience. We will continue to monitor it and make any adjustments if need be. Thank you again for taking the time to reach out to us, and please do not hesitate to do so in the future if you have further concerns.

1 City Hall Plz, Boston, Ma, 02108Illegal parking is being indiscriminately marked as "duplicate" (and other ... untruths). Can the City have neighborhood restrictions enforced. The lack of enforcement and is obvious and frustrating on its own. BTD's favoring certain non-residents and allowing out-of-staters to park for as long as they want (among other things they do) is beyond inappropriate.
CLOSED #101005564756Case Resolved. Please submit parking complaints with different addresses. When our parking attendants go to look at parking violation s that are reported, they address any violations they see at the location, even those not specified in the request.
