The residents of Solaris Road would like to have a pothole in front of 21 Solaris Road filled. This was the result of the street being dug up several times in the past few years by utilities for new housing.

August 05, 2026 To: Customer Technology and Operations / Bus Operations Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) 10 Park Plaza, Suite 3910 Boston, MA 02116 Subject: SECOND NOTICE: Dangerous Dislodged Bus Sign at Columbia Rd & Dudley St / Route 16, 41, 17 To Whom It May Concern, I am writing on behalf of the Uphams Corner community to submit a second, urgent complaint regarding a severe pedestrian hazard and a disruption to transit riders. An MBTA bus sign has been completely dislodged and displaced from its original location. This sign belongs at the bus depot area located on Columbia Road at the intersection of Dudley Street. This specific sign informs the traveling public of services for Bus Routes 16, 41, and 17. Currently, the heavy metal sign has been moved across the street and is sitting directly on the sidewalk at 579 Columbia Road, right in front of Team Rehab and Wellness. This displaced sign is actively creating a major safety hazard for pedestrian traffic. It is blocking the sidewalk, creating a dangerous tripping hazard, and obstructing the pathway for strollers, elderly residents, and individuals with mobility devices. Furthermore, because the sign is missing from its proper location, transit riders are left without clear direction on where to board their buses. This is our second time reporting this issue. We strongly encourage the MBTA to dispatch a maintenance crew immediately to remove this hazard from the sidewalk and reattach it securely at its proper depot location. Please treat this matter with the highest priority before an injury occurs. We look forward to your immediate confirmation that a work order has been issued.
