I parked at the "Auditorium Garage" at 50 Dalton St on Jan 14, 2026 at 10:05am. I left the garage the same day at 2:38pm. As shown on the attached receipt, I was parked for 4 hours and 33 min. The advertised rate for 2-5 hours is $40. The payment machine charged me $42. I complained to the attendant and she said there was nothing she could do, and my only option was to pay today and call the manager tomorrow for a refund. I did that, but when I called, I spoke with the same attendant and she took my information and said the manager would call me back. That never happened. Regardless of if I ever get a refund, the larger issue is that this garage is overcharging at least everyone who parks there for 2-5 hours and maybe more. At a $2 overcharge per car and likely hundreds of those cars per day, they are skimming thousands of dollars from the consumer. What can be done about this?
