  • Illegal Parking

Intersection Of Anderson St And Phillips St, Boston, Ma

Construction around the Beacon Hill neighborhood has blocked streets for months, wiped out residential parking, and perpetuated excessive noise and flashing lights late into the night or early in the morning. I've gotten ticketed and towed for sudden roadwork related closures and circled for up to an hour multiple days per week to find available resident parking. Many resident have contacted city hall as it’s become a huge burden to try to use resident street parking. I’ve lived in the neighborhood 8 years and this year has been disproportionately difficult. Just submitting this report to put additional support behind several key residents requests: • Stop worker overnight parking in residential spaces. • Limit simultaneous projects, require active-work standards for street closures, and tighten timelines. • Enforce construction hour limits and require permits for any after-hours/overnight work. • Dismiss construction-related parking tickets for residents and document mitigation. Thank you!
