Other
17 Brahms St, Roslindale, Ma, 02131My name is Bill Grubbs, and I reside at 17 Brahms Street in Roslindale. I am writing to request assistance regarding an issue that occurred on March 30 On that date, I received a code violation ticket for improper trash storage. The officer’s comments indicated that trash was placed out too early and noted that barrels should be placed outside after 5:00 PM the night before collection. I understand and acknowledge this requirement. However, approximately 30 minutes after the ticket was issued, a crew from the City Public Works Department arrived and removed both my trash barrel and recycling barrel. During this time, my neighbor offered to move the barrels into my driveway to correct the issue, but the city employee declined and proceeded to take them. While I can understand receiving a violation ticket, I do not understand the removal of the barrels themselves. These containers are expensive, and their removal seems excessive given the situation. I am requesting guidance on how I can retrieve my trash and recycling barrels, as well as clarification on whether this action aligns with standard city procedures. I also want to express that I find this situation to be very concerning and unacceptable. Thank you for your time and assistance. I look forward to your response. Sincerely, Bill Grubbs 17 Brahms Street Roslindale
