36 Brainerd Rd, Boston, MA 02446I would like to file a complaint regarding ongoing construction activity in my residential neighborhood in Allston. While I understand that construction may be taking place during permitted hours, the noise is extremely loud, constant, and disruptive. The continuous use of heavy machinery and construction equipment makes it impossible to rest in my own home. I work overnight shifts and need to sleep during the day. The level of noise is so excessive that I am unable to get adequate rest, which is affecting my daily life and well-being. In addition to the excessive noise, the construction activity causes significant vibrations throughout the building. Heavy materials appear to be dropped or struck against the ground with such force that my entire apartment shakes. I live on the third floor, and I can clearly feel the vibrations inside my home. The repeated shaking has become a daily occurrence and is extremely concerning. This combination of constant noise and strong vibrations has made it very difficult to live comfortably in my home and has raised concerns about the impact of the construction on nearby residential buildings. I respectfully request that the City investigate whether the construction activity is complying with all applicable noise regulations and safety requirements, and whether additional noise and vibration mitigation measures should be required to minimize the impact on residents. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter. I appreciate your assistance and look forward to your response.
