Hi - to whom it may concern and my apologies if this is not the right place to reach out. I have just messaged the restaurant directly as well. I live in one of the buildings behind Saltie Girl (Backbay) My apartment faces the alley (Public Alley 435) in which the Saltie Girl restaurant shares. Nearly every morning, I’m awoken like clockwork at 7am (weekends included, such as today) to the workers disposing of glass bottles in the dumpster in our alley. It goes on for a couple minutes, and appears to be trash bins of glass being dumped into an empty dumpster, creating extremely loud noise that awakes me from rest. The noise is very loud and it has been years now of trying to ignore it, purchasing earplugs, yet still being awoken every morning to this loud noise. I fully understand they need to dispose of their trash, but they are giving no regard to the residents in the area. I can imagine other tenants feel the same way. Is there any way their employees can drop these bottles in a way where they aren’t continuously hitting the bottom of the dumpster/causing extremely destructively loud noises? They are in all black and use the back alley entrance to the Saltie Girl restaurant and their dumpster so I am assuming that’s where it’s coming from.
