Snow Plowing/Salting
168 170 Northampton St, Roxbury, Ma, 02118The current snow accumulation on Northampton St. and Shawmut Ave. is unacceptable and creates a safety hazard for residents. To restore accessibility, we request the following immediate actions: Emergency Plowing: Immediate deployment of plows to clear the backlog of snow. Clear Communication: Post physical notices on parked cars today regarding temporary relocation. Scheduled Operations: Establish and communicate specific hours for snow removal this Saturday/Sunday so residents can clear the way for plows. Tax-paying residents expect a higher standard of basic city services. We need the streets cleared and made safe immediately.

Snow Plowing/Salting
40 Sawyer Ave, Dorchester, Ma, 02125During our last 2-foot snowstorm, the City of Boston badly neglected Sawyer Ave and Cushing Ave, completely ignoring street clearing. This was never managed so poorly before and put neighbors with medical issues in danger. Two-way streets became one-way streets, and snow was pushed from the roads onto sidewalks. The streets were salted maybe twice during the entire storm. Snowbanks were never removed and turned into ice mountains. Residents on Sawyer Ave were trapped inside due to National Grid work and street closures immediately after the snowstorm. We are now expecting new snow this Saturday due to ocean-effect enhancement. City of Boston, please do your job properly this time. Clear all existing ice and snowbanks blocking sidewalks, salt the roads before the storm, after and while clearing new snow, and do not dump snow onto sidewalks or driveways. If snow must be placed there temporarily, ensure it is fully removed after the storm ends.
