Illegal Parking
Intersection Of Porter St And Orleans St, East Boston, MaDay #9, 9 consecutive days, this black, Chevrolet Traverse (Tennessee Registration B0H 1132), has been parked in East Boston Memorial Park, Thompson Drive, for 9 consecutive days, and not moved. The vehicle, Tennessee plates, was ticketed overnight, last night (it was nice to see BTD finally doing their job), and then the ticket was removed from the vehicle in the morning. This is a “Two Hour Parking” zone, not a 9 day parking zone. There is something, just not right, about this vehicle, I don’t know if the vehicle is stolen, part of a crime of some sort; there is, simply, not something right about this vehicle. This is what I wrote in my Boston 311 Report, yesterday: IN EAST BOSTON MEMORIAL PARK. ILLEGALLY PARKED CAR - POSTED “2 HOUR PARKING.” This Chevrolet Traverse, Tennessee Registration B0H 1132, has been parked in the East Boston Memorial Park for 8 consecutive days. How can the Boston Transportation Department not have issued this vehicle 1 ticket in 8 days? The posted signage says “2 Hour Parking.” The means this vehicle should have been ticketed 96 times, the vehicle was not ticketed once. Is someone paying-off someone at the BTD or are they grossly negligent? Why was the vehicle not towed? I wonder if there is someone dead in the abandoned vehicle? Is the vehicle part of some organized crime? Boston Transportation Department’s negligence managing illegal parking in East Boston Memorial Park is palpable.
