June 24, 2026 – 10:50 p.m. At approximately 10:50 p.m. on June 24, 2026, four vehicles were illegally parked in the designated bus lane and protected bike lane directly in front of 1252 Washington Street (Alex’s Pizza). As shown in the attached photos, these illegally parked vehicles forced multiple cyclists to leave the protected bike lane and enter the lane of moving traffic. They also forced an MBTA bus to merge into oncoming traffic because the bus lane was completely blocked. This is a significant public safety hazard that puts cyclists, bus passengers, motorists, and pedestrians at unnecessary risk of a collision. This location has become a recurring problem, with vehicles regularly obstructing the bus and bike lanes, despite previous reports. I respectfully request increased parking enforcement and traffic enforcement at this location, particularly during the evening hours, to prevent a serious accident before someone is injured.

Now illegally storing construction equipment in a clearly regulated no parking zone. If they want to store construction equipment 24/7, they can get permits.
