💦💙💛💦🚨ATTENTION ATTENTION: On behalf of the Uphams Corner Community, we would like to take this moment to acknowledge and commend the following two City of Boston, Boston employees. Office of Mayor Michelle Wu & The Executive Leadership of the Boston Water and Sewer Commission (BWSC) From: The Uphams Corner Community Date: July 23, 2026 Subject: Official Commendation for the Absolute Best, Most Exemplary, and Most Consequential Public Service by Mr. Smith and Jonathan "Youngin". On behalf of the entire Uphams Corner Community, we are writing to extend our deepest, most enthusiastic, and highest possible commendation to two of the finest, most outstanding public servants in the entire City of Boston: Mr. Smith, Heavy 2 and Jonathan "Youngin"(new guy). We are compelled to formally acknowledge their absolute best-in-class performance, unrivaled dedication, and the most magnificent display of interpersonal community communication we have ever witnessed from public employees. The Ultimate Standards of Public Service Mr. Smith demonstrated the most phenomenal patience, deepest empathy, and most profound, unparalleled knowledge when addressing our neighborhood. He proved to be the most exceptionally friendly and generous official, taking his personal time to thoroughly educate community members. He laid out the most brilliant, definitive, and reassuring plan to rectify a severe, long-standing public nuisance: a deeply depressed and receding Boston Water and Sewer manhole cover. Both Mr. Smith, Heavy 2 and Jonathan "Youngin", listened with the most intense, unwavering focus, showing the grandest level of genuine commitment to securing a swift resolution. Resolving a Most Severe and Detrimental Grievance For too long, this infrastructure defect has caused the most unbearable anguish and deepest disruption to our neighborhood's public health, mental well-being, and overall quality of life. Whenever a high-capacity empty dump truck or empty car trailer ( which are sold at Home Depot right down the street at South Bay Mall) struck this receding/depressed manhole cover, the resulting sound was the most terrifyingly loud, explosive noise imaginable—sounding precisely like a bomb detonating or a catastrophic motor vehicle accident. Strangers smoking, drinking and loitering in our building's overhang garage. This is a BHA no smoking building. They are under the building still in it. You are supposed to be 15 feet away. There's no drinking in the common areas. This is a security issue, cars are damaged and there has been fires started. The manager doesn't do anything about it. 1875 Dorchester Ave.
