Illegal Parking
790 Columbia Rd, Boston
Once again the St John Paul II Catholic School is causing problems. Columbia Rd is already congested due to being a major through way and being close to JFK/UMASS and the highway. When the parents are allowed to double park, often blocking driveways and bike lanes, it not only poses a safety hazard, but actively prevents residents on that road from parking in their lawfully permitted spaces. I personally had to park 3 blocks away. Not the worst thing in the world but imagine someone elderly or with some other restriction. Or the potential vehicle accidents. Or the potential pedestrian strikes. It's bad enough they do this every morning but now on random evenings, too? Please advise the school to get a better grip on their students' parents.
