Street light bulb is too bright and bothersome at night.

The MGH building at 275 cambridge street has been doing night construction for the past week until 1 am, keeping residents awake. This nighttime construction exceeds volume limits. Boston ordinance places a 50 db limit for nighttime construction. As you can see from the attached photo, the construction is averaging 59 db after 11 pm, which is a clear violation of Boston city noise ordinance. Please contact MGH to shut this nighttime work down and follow up with the resolution.

I am a tenant reporting an ongoing cockroach infestation in my rental apartment that has continued despite repeated notification to property management and multiple pest-control treatments. We first notified our property management of the infestation on June 27th after seeing roaches in our apartment. Since then, the property has arranged for a pest-control company to treat our apartment multiple times. We have cooperated with these treatments, including preparing the kitchen and bathroom as required. Because the infestation continued, we notified management again and specifically raised concerns that the roaches may be coming from or around the dishwasher. Pest-control technicians subsequently placed sticky traps in the kitchen, which showed significant pest activity. Management then arranged for the pest-control company to return on September 2 to treat the apartment and to pull out and inspect the dishwasher and the area behind and around it. On September 2, the pest-control company also sprayed all baseboards in our apartment. Despite the September 2 treatment, we are continuing to see pests in the apartment. Over the past 6 days, we have seen 9 small/baby roaches, primarily in the bathroom, as well as one in our bedroom on our bed. However, over the 3ish months we’ve been living here, we have seen them in every room and closet in the apartment. I have attached photographs documenting three of the recent sightings, all of which occurred after the September 2 treatment. I can also provide additional photographs or documentation of the previous pest activity and treatments if needed. We have also seen them in common spaces (elevator), but do not have photographs of those sightings. We are requesting an Inspectional Services housing inspection of our unit and, if appropriate, the surrounding property to help determine whether there are any conditions that may be contributing to the ongoing infestation and what additional steps may be needed to resolve the issue. We have made repeated good-faith efforts to work with property management and their pest-control company to resolve the issue, but the infestation has persisted despite multiple treatments on a bi-weekly basis. We would appreciate an inspection and guidance regarding what additional corrective action may be necessary to resolve the underlying issue.
