On behalf of myself, young staff at I would but love CVS located at 778 Dudley Street and other area merchants. We thank The two African American female Command Staff, Deputy Superintendents, especially these two highly decorated and committed Deputy Superintendents for stopping by and chatting with our area merchants from the Uphams Corner Community and Main Street Area. Your visit was well welcome, well talked about, and quite received. Our community encourages you to come back and for others to equally come visit us. We do still have concerns regarding the ongoing active privileging of our beloved CVS store located at 778 Dudley Street at the corner of Dudley Street and Ramsey Street. Our community continues to question why a code 19 vehicle remains assigned in front of Brothers Supermarket while the addicts are stealing 100 yd behind the cruiser from our beloved CVS. We are baffled confused and do not understand why this decision has been made. It is certainly an affront disgusting and demoralizing that a cruiser is in the officer in the cruiser is being embarrassed by drug addicts who are stealing 100 yd behind them. It's simply incredibly weird and embarrassing. The optics are very bad command Staff. The understanding of this police assignment is still unanswered. I've already acknowledged that the young officer that is depicted in the picture below he's the only officer that I actually seen or see get out of his cruiser and show what real Community policing looks like. And because he did get out his cruiser it cleared the entire block. One of our Uphams Corner Main Street Merchants was extremely ecstatic and pleased to see two uniformed "black" female Deputy Superintendents, come into her business and acknowledge her presence. Personally when she was telling me the story I can see a sense of pride in her eyes. She especially made mention that they were females. She definitely appreciates the fact you stopped in and said hello to her, it made her day. You'll be amazed what 15-20 minutes of community policing can do to a person's life, especially merchants. Please remember our expressed concerns and requests
