Illegal Parking
1250 Washington St, Roxbury, Ma, 02118Thursday, June 25, 2026, at approximately 4:48 p.m., three vehicles are illegally parked in the bus and bike lane in front of Alex Pizza, located at 1254 Washington Street, Boston, MA 02118. As shown in the attached photos, the illegally parked vehicles forced both buses and bicyclists to merge into oncoming traffic, creating a significant safety hazard for all road users. The second photo shows a Boston Police officer outside Alex Pizza while the vehicles remained illegally parked in the bus and bike lane. The officer appeared to take notice of the illegally parked vehicles while entering and exiting the restaurant, yet no enforcement action was taken. This sends the message that these ongoing violations are being overlooked despite occurring in plain view of law enforcement. This continues to be part of a recurring pattern at this location, where illegal parking regularly obstructs the bus and bike lane and creates dangerous conditions for cyclists, MBTA buses, and now other motorists. I respectfully request increased enforcement at this location to ensure compliance with parking regulations and improve public safety.
