1 City Hall Plz, Boston, MA 02114On July 16th at approximately 9:58 AM, I called the Boston Tow Lot line (call lasted about 3 minutes) and spoke with Operator #77841. He was abrasive and unprofessional during our call, speaking in a defiant, dismissive, and at times very loud tone. This is not appropriate communication for a public-facing constituent service role. I’d like this noted for review, along with a recommendation that they receive additional customer service/communication training. Coworkers in the background were also laughing and appeared to be encouraging his behavior, and he hung up abruptly at the end of the call. This does not reflect a commitment to being civil and helpful to constituents. As a taxpayer whose contributions fund this position, I believe public employees should be held to a higher standard of professionalism and courtesy when interacting with the people they serve.
