We are writing to formally document a severe, ongoing cockroach infestation at 1764 Dorchester Ave Apt. 2, which has persisted for the last four years. Despite multiple written and verbal notifications, the landlord has failed to provide professional pest control services to resolve this issue. Rather than hiring a licensed exterminator, the landlord has repeatedly attempted to resolve the infestation using ineffective over-the-counter home remedies, including Raid sprays and consumer-grade pesticide foggers ("roach bombs"). These temporary measures have entirely failed to address the root of the infestation. Due to the lack of professional intervention, the infestation has steadily worsened. Roaches are now appearing with much greater frequency throughout the living spaces, posing a direct threat to our health, safety, and overall quality of life. The current living conditions violate the implied warranty of habitability. These pictures show only SOME of the roaches that we’ve seen. there have been times where we’ve opened cabinets or even doors to go into our bedroom and have seen a multitude of roaches running into crevices.
