Street Light Outage
Dartmouth St & Huntington AveDear PWD Street Lighting Division, I hope you are well! I am writing to report a number of streetlights that are currently out or intermittently failing in the Back Bay area. Streetlight Outage Report for Back Bay- Blagden, Dartmouth Huntington & Exeter Corridor.Dear Street Lighting Division, I hope you are well! I am writing to report a number of streetlights (cubed single/double and ball/globe/colonial) that are currently out or intermittently failing in the Back Bay area. These outages are impacting visibility and overall pedestrian safety, particularly during evening hours. The locations include: Blagden Street (at least 2 lamp fixtures (globe/colonial), nearest to Dartmouth St on Southside of block, near restaurant, Sorelina) Huntington Avenue near Dartmouth (1 double cubed fixture, near Southside street corner) Huntington Avenue at least 2 separate cubed fixtures between Dartmouth Street and Exeter Street within cemented entrance to Mass Pike and through entryway (currently under construction) Stuart Street at Huntington Avenue, 2 single-cubed, corner near Southside, of Marriott hotel garage corner Exeter St outside Luke's Lobster, dimming street lamp bulb There are a total of eight (8) street lights (cubed) and street lamps (globe/colonial) affected. Please see the attached link to photos, which document these fixtures throughout this corridor (zoom in in each photo to see light and lamp locations). See PWD email Thurs March 19th for all images accounting for all outages in this Commercial & Residential (Trinity Place Condos) corridor of Back Bay. 1 screenshot below has all of affected lights labeled/circled. Given the high foot traffic and proximity to major intersections, we would greatly appreciate it if your team could assess these locations and schedule repairs as soon as possible. If helpful, I am happy to provide any additional details or coordinate further on specific pole locations. Thank you in advance for your attention to this matter and for your continued work in maintaining safe and well-lit streets across the city.
