ATTENTION ATTENTION: MBTA POLICE DEPARTMENT, on behalf of the Uphams Corner Community, we would like to take the opportunity to think MBTA Police Officer Matt Haley Badge 1153 for his dedication and commitment to our community. This wonderful young officer got out of his motor MBTA police cruiser and engage the merchants, community members and the community at large which was close to an MBTA bus stop. We thank him for his commitment to keep motor vehicles from illegally parking in the MBTA bus stop. These particular bus stops are located in the Uphams Corner Main Street area. We have been having major problems with illegally parked cars in the MBTA bus stop prohibiting buses from coming close to the sidewalk to allow our most vulnerable population our senior citizens, physically and visually impaired residents from safely boarding or exiting MBTA buses. This officer with his great big smile has made us feel very good and has provided good community policing. We thank him for his presence, deterrence and enforcement. And he has very good discretionary police and skills in the picture above he even gave this guy a break.
