Seeking replacement of this old street light across from 3 Marion Place in East Boston. We are unable to sleep at night because of the brightness of this light - even with blackout curtains installed. We have neighbors with a baby on the way as well as young ones trying to sleep at night. We’d like the city to consider replacement of this lamp to the newer LED street lights used in this neighborhood as they are less harsh but also keep the street safe. I have sent a request to East Boston Neighborhood Liaison Carlos Garcia as well. Thank you so much for your consideration into this matter! We appreciate the help.

Utility contractor complaint: Active drilling/construction is occurring at 390 Harrison Ave after normal construction hours. The contractor states that Eversource issued/authorized an emergency permit, but there is no apparent emergency at the site. Please verify the permit/authorization number, issuing authority, nature of the emergency, and the dates and hours authorized for this work. If there is no valid City-approved emergency or off-hours authorization covering this work tonight, please dispatch an inspector and require the after-hours work to stop.
