Illegal Parking
57 59 Philbrick St, Roslindale, Ma, 02131I would like to report an ongoing issue involving residents at 59 Philbrick who have been illegally reserving public street parking spaces using traffic cones. This has been happening consistently since the February snowstorms and continues on a daily basis. The cones are being used to block off two street parking spots, even when no vehicles are parked there for long periods of time. It appears the residents simply want the convenience of having spaces available whenever they return, despite these being public parking spots intended for shared neighborhood use. This situation has become extremely frustrating and unfair for other residents in the area. There have been multiple occasions where I have been unable to find parking in the neighborhood where I live because these spaces were intentionally blocked off with cones. Public street parking should remain available to all residents and visitors on an equal basis, and private individuals should not be allowed to reserve spaces for personal use. I respectfully ask that this matter be addressed and that the illegal use of cones to reserve parking spaces be stopped. Thank you for your attention to this issue.
