Dear Allston-Brighton Neighborhood Services, **INCIDENT LOCATION:** 36 Lake Shore Road, Brighton, MA 02135 **RESIDENT ADDRESS:** 120 Lake Street, Brighton, MA 02135 **TICKET NUMBER:** 810686623 **PLATE AT CITATION:** NJ W97RHW (current MA plate: 6FYE18) **VEHICLE:** 2014 gray Toyota Prius (VIN ending in 1404) **DATE OF CITATION AND TOW:** July 12, 2024 I am requesting supervisory review and interdepartmental referral to the appropriate leadership within the Boston Transportation Department (BTD) and the Office of the Parking Clerk regarding a parking citation and towing expense incurred after construction-related restrictions prevented me from parking outside my residence. ### Background During the week of July 8–15, 2024, roadway work associated with MWRA Contract No. 6392 affected Lake Street. Temporary pylons marked “TOW ZONE – NO STANDING – PERMITTED CONSTRUCTION VEHICLES ONLY” were placed directly outside my residence at 120 Lake Street, preventing residents from using the curb parking in front of their homes. Because of these restrictions, I parked around the corner at 36 Lake Shore Road. My vehicle was cited for street cleaning at approximately 8:30 AM under Ticket #810686623, resulting in a $40 citation and a separate $170 towing fee charged by Robert’s Towing. My initial appeal was denied, and the online portal now prevents further appeals, displaying “82-DENIED.” Both expenses have been paid in full. ### Requested Relief Given the documented construction restrictions and their impact on residential parking access, I respectfully request: 1. **Supervisory review:** Reconsideration of Ticket #810686623 despite the exhausted online appeal process. 2. **Citation reimbursement:** Refund of the $40 citation payment if the ticket can be vacated. 3. **Towing reimbursement:** Review of whether the separate $170 towing fee can also be reimbursed and identification of the appropriate authority or procedure for pursuing that request. The total reimbursement requested is **$210.00**. I have attached photographs of the construction restrictions outside my residence, the City citation and payment record, and vehicle registration documentation. I can provide the MWRA work notice and towing receipt as additional supporting evidence. If your office cannot directly address these requests, I would appreciate referral to the appropriate department and written guidance regarding any remaining administrative review process.
