Illegal Parking
39 Percival St, Dorchester, Ma, 02122Hello, I am writing again to report ongoing illegal parking on Percival Street. This has become a serious safety issue and does not appear to be improving. Percival Street is a narrow street with posted no parking restrictions, yet vehicles continue parking there overnight and into late hours. Many drivers appear to be intentionally avoiding enforcement by parking after midnight or during times when enforcement is limited. At this moment, there are approximately 10 illegally parked vehicles on the street. The situation is dangerous because: * The street becomes extremely narrow for passing vehicles. * Emergency vehicle access could be impacted. * Visibility and traffic flow are reduced. * Residents and drivers are forced into unsafe maneuvering. This issue has been reported before, but enforcement does not appear to be consistent enough to stop the behavior. I respectfully request: * Immediate enforcement on Percival Street. * Increased overnight parking enforcement. * Ticketing and towing where appropriate. * A review of whether additional signage or barriers are needed. Please treat this as an ongoing public safety concern rather than an isolated complaint.
