CIVIC COMMENDATION AND PUBLIC SAFETY INTERVENTION This report formally recognizes the outstanding public service of the City of Boston Public Works District 3 workforce. On September 20, 2026, as early as 5:30 AM, this dedicated crew executed an absolute beautification of our neighborhood streets and sidewalks across our vital Dudley Street corridor in Uphams Corner. Special commendation is given to Field Supervisor A. Wattley for engaging directly with residents on operational logistics and for directing personnel to take immediate action to push the dangerously unseated Eversource Energy manhole cover back into its base. While this utility failure remains an active hazard that will pop up when vehicles strike it, the proactive safety steps taken by District 3 supervisors—including documenting field notes and taking digital photographs—directly help preserve the transit routes of Boston Fire Department Engine 21, Boston EMS units heading to Boston Medical Center, and our neighborhood families. Under its current exceptional leadership, District 3 is making our residents immensely happy. Keep up the phenomenal work.
